Rock Against Racism
-thinking about holding it at Forrest Place on Friday 13th July... as the other venues are only available on the sunday, and cant hold enough people.
-things are going pretty well, except need more money. So are looking for more grants
Food
-meeting went really well.... have written up a draft menu, put on the loop
-now need to determine ingredients and prices (job for this week)
-will need to hire a marque, (the room is booked out during SoS)... we may be able to get our hands on one from down south...
-Bread discussion
-There are 2 options at the mo... bakers delight will charge $500 to provide enough bread for the entire week........however Bodhi's will charge $1000 for the same amount of bread... BUT ... the bread from Bodhi's will be mostly organic, produced by a small, locally owned business, that can do gluten free, and will deliver for free...
-So we need to decide whether we are willing to pay and extra $500 to get bread from Bodhi's.... the argument is that it is only $1 extra for each person to get locally and mostly organic supply of bread.... bread is something that most people will suppliment their diets with over the week, so having really yummy bread whilst supporting local business would be excellent... so it it worth $500....? please everyone think bout it??Inviting People
-should we invite companies??
-proposal – that we have an afternoon when companied/NGO's can come to have a stall and advertise and recruit maybe starting at lunch and continuing for a few hours after lunch
-would place stalls away from center of everything, but near by so everyone can see and knows it is going on..... could have groups there that would be displaying sustainable equipment/solar ovens/solar panels... may be excellent to show to SoSers?WHAT DO PEOPLE THINK??Maybe thursday arvo?
Fair Trade
The guy at the fair trade in Brisbane st has offered to put together a hamper to raffle off at SoS... what do we want in it??

Welcome Bags
-Hemp Co donated 500 bags to the cambridge festival... going to go and ask if they will donate to us
-idea to create a letter that tells companies about SoS and asks if they want to put any products in the bag ie to companies such as health ways, health foundation, cancer foundation, cons council..... so they can promote their cause to the active youth of today............
Next meeting proposed to be held at FERN in Freo!!!??
