From the Last 'meeting:' So, So sorry to be a faffing latey. Appologies
and thankx for keeping the happenings ahappening.

1. Timeline
We have a calendar so that we can easily see upcoming dates for things we need to get our arses into gear for. Can we think about dates and deadlines to input at the next meeting? Things like fundraisers, RSVPs and goals for getting things done by.

2. Grants
We need some money ASAP so we need to be doing some grants. We are already working on a grant for the NT. Apparently there is a JB Seed grant specifically for Indigenous community work that is due in two weeks. What's the go with this? Do we need to get some people onto it? I will happily be involved with this if someone else will help me. And are there any other grants that we should be applying for?

*** Yes, there is a grant dur in May for travel expenses. We need to fundraise around $15 000 (this was the budget last year) We have a seed fund of $5000.00. So we need 10 000 ish.
I know this sounds like alot, coz it is! Yeah, so we need grants, fundraisers, you know the deal. People need to get onto this or state if they don't have the time, or generally be in communication as to what is going on. ***

3. Exhibition space
What is the progress on the Moore's building as an exhibition space during
the conference? Another place is the Tracillion in Nedlands? which would be good, she will find out.

*** The grant for the Perth Art's festival was not submitted. Too, long, the grant is really competitive. Also, SoS put in a grant app. for the Rock Against Racism gig... We could get together an application for the Moores building, and also for the PICA space.

4. Bank
*** When we have the bank account open, we get our funding from the Brizzy crew.***

5. Kitchen
Some contact was made regarding the kitchen - update? Also, from the main SOS list I have gathered that someone was checking out the kitchen at UWA. I will attend next SOS meeting to suss out whether we can use the space as well. ***

6. Accommodation
Check about the residence hall for use during the conference.

7. Letter
We need the invitation letter, whether it has been proofed or not.

8. Workshops
Let's start having a brainstorm about particular workshops we would like
to see happen at the conference so that we can target people with
knowledge on those subjects. Certain days will have certain themes such
as nuclear issues, climate change, sustainable living etc. and it would be
good to have an Indigenous speaker on each topic. Some ideas we came up
with:
-the Nyoongar Native Title claim on Perth
-Uranium mining
-Dreaming/other stories about the Nedlands area

9. Films
Can we each find at least one film that we would like to show for our film
fundraisers?

10. Cost estimates
If we can come up with a cost estimate for each participant, we will have
a better idea of how much money we need to come up with. Maybe we can
have a small working group to do this. I'm happy to be in that.

11. Food donations
Can we have food donated to us from somewhere for the elders? I imagine
the soupies will be donating to the larger SOS but will there be enough
for us? What about Rite Price and other discarded food charities? Let's
all have an ask around. *** The food will be of the highest, locally
grown, organic, quality. ***

12. Rock Against Racism
What's the hap, anybody?

the SOS07 timetable.***
