To borrow a phrase from 90s Swedish hardcore band 'Refused' - Perth's Blac Blocs proudly announce that we "are fucking dead."

Yes. Perth's underground activist rock-posers are calling it a day.

After three years of false flag operations and police agent rock provocations, Blac Blocs are no more - no longer a movement - no longer even a direct action tactic - but now a legend...

With busy lives and many other individual projects - Blac Blocs are dissolving as a live operations unit.

Blocs began jamming in 2007 at the Black Dove Activist Centre in North Perth. Since then we've played just about every venue in Perth, dozens of backyard parties and supported countless bands.

The music video for our 2008 track "NVDA" won Most Popular Music Video at the 2010 WAMI Awards, as well as Most Provocative Film at the 2010 Sydney Underground Film Festival.

We released our first record in 2008, and will launch our second and final product, titled "MANDALA", on Saturday 9th October 2010 at the CIVIC Backroom in Inglewood.

Entry to the show is $10 - including a copy of the new CD.

The record, captured inside a Wangara warehouse in November last year - produced by Blac Blocs and mastered by Laurie Sinagra - contains ten new songs.

The CD launch will also be our FINAL show.

Joining us to say farewell will be Project Mayhem, The Gizzards and Mezzanine - with DJ Miss Sara spinning tunes in-between.

Thanks to all who supported us since started we playing back in 07. And if you haven't seen us before, this is the LAST OPPORTUNITY to see us perform live. It will be well worth the effort.

Two songs from Mandala are already receiving airplay on RTRFM 92.1. We have an interview with Peter Barr on RTRFM on Friday 8th of October - and the album will be RTR's local feature from the 18th.
