Perth's fresh and nasty radicalista-rock-band - Blac Blocs - will be launching their song, UNDER THE PAVEMENT, on Sunday February 24th at the Hyde Park Hotel... Joining them will be Tomas Ford, Ghengis and Bonehouse. Action starts at 6pm. $5 entry - FREE CD.
In a flurry of beer, noise, sweat and politico-angsty rockness, the boys have cut a demo version of their killer song "Under The Pavement" - which has since been getting spins on RTRFM's Drivetime and Out To Lunch shows over the last few months.

Blac Blocs emerged from a dirty sweaty room at the Black Dove Social Centre in January 2007. Driven by activism, anarchism, social justice and a love of big ideas - and influenced by a plethora of seminal punk-rock and post-rock outfits - Blac Blocs are determined to kick out the fucking jams motherfucker.
Variously described by punters as: "Midnight Oil meets Fugazi"; "The Saints meets Nation Blue"; "Touch n Go Records"; "Fuck You Guys Rock" - Blac Blocs deliver scathing rock narratives - with tales of "burning flags", "setting fire to cars," "dicks at discos," and "pissing on the bodies of dead politicians..."
Throughout 2007 the 4-piece band have been honing their live set into what has been described as a powerful and energetic performance. Feedback from audiences have been very positive.
With Allan Boyd (aka The Antipoet) out front hollering and sporting a Flying V guitar, Blac Blocs drive home the point that making rock music is not rocket science - its about tearing up the bitumen, hacking at the culture and living life without dead time.
Blac Blocs have supported dozens of Perth bands over the past year and have opened for Melbourne's Curse ov Dialect, Elf Tranzporter, Blacklevel Embassy and Witch Hats. The band are currently working on an EP and will be heading off to Melbourne to promote its release later in the year.
Hope to see you at the gig! Cheers, the blocs
